About the Image(s)

Antarctica has always been a dream destination, and I was fortunate
enough to visit the Peninsula in March 2025. The weather was mainly fine,
and we were out in the Zodiacs every day. A few drenchings occurred, one
of which caused problems with my camera for the rest of the trip. It still
functioned with persistence. I was waiting for the blue icebergs to appear,
but it was too late in the season. The blue colour I captured was amazing.
It wasn’t consistent, varying in every location and even within the same
location.
Canon R5, Mk2. 100mm (100-500 4). 640 sec, F/8, ISO 320.
handheld in Zodiac.

Brian, this photo takes us to Antarctica. The blues and the whites validate the frigid cold impression viewers have. Despite a slight overexposure in the original, you compensated and captured the elusive blue colors you sought.   Posted: 11/09/2025 21:58:42
