About the Image(s)

Date of exposure: 04-02-2012 14:31

CAMERA: Canon Powershot SX 1S
Exposure details: f-stop f/4, Focal Length: 5 mm, shutter speed 1/1000 sec, ISO 80, pattern metering.

LOCATION: Soak in the coastal charm of Sindhudurg, a lesser-known gem in Maharashtra, Malvon, India. Located along the picturesque Konkan coast, this breathtaking destination will leave you awe-struck. It offers a series of natural beauty with swaying palms and narrow canals, cultural heritage, and historical sites. Sindhudurg is characterised by its varied landscape, stretching from the Western Ghats to the Arabian Sea joining its borders with Goa. The Sindhudurg coast has a ring of islands that culminate in the picturesque Burnt Island linked by a coral reef that provides excellent diving opportunities in winter.

EDITING: I used PS CS 2024 to edit the frame, by a desktop computer. I used adobe camera raw 16.4 filters to enhance clarity, shadow details, brightness and exposure. I also used Topaz software to reduce digital noise.

With best wishes of New Year 2025,

Sanat, I really like what you did to rescue the sky and bring out the rich colors in the rocks. You might consider removing the people in the distance leaving only the two men in the foreground. Your decision.   Posted: 01/16/2025 19:31:07

Sanat: you have captured a beautiful coastal scene with great depth and detail. You might crop up a bit from the bottom, just to take out a little of the foreground sand.
(I used a Canon Powershot SX for many years, and wish I had kept it.)
