Hello everyone, Happy New Year! The journey to Rainbow Mountain in Peru was long and challenging because I wasn't accustomed to the thin air at an altitude of over 10,000 feet. However, the surrounding landscape along the way was incredibly beautiful and untouched. In Peru, people raise goats and sheep without the need for enclosures because the land is so vast, though herding and tending to them isn't easy.
The bus that carried us rarely stopped along the way, so I took photos from inside, trying to capture moments that could result in decent compositions. I usually shot at a shutter speed of 1/250s or faster to counteract the bus's vibrations. I used ACR to edit the images, increasing the contrast and brightness overall. I then used Topaz for denoising and resized the images afterward.

Quang Phan, my eye says this is a collection of images. Zooming in and cropping could reveal some interesting alternatives, for example the sheep & goats near the cut in the earth, or those intriguing dark purple hills in the distance. Have fun with this.   Posted: 01/16/2025 19:11:12

Quang Phan: This photo is striking in its beauty, capturing the vastness and the colors of this place. Your image is sharp within the entire frame. The bus driver must have let you off the bus for this one. I agree with Charles Walker that you have many pictures within this one, and I look forward to more of this enchanted land.
