About the Image(s)
This seascape was shot in early morning after a night of heavy thunderstorms across
the island. The storms had begun to dissipate and move offshore as the sun began to
rise. I thought the clouds were more interesting than the litter that the storms had
washed up on the beach. My original shot required a slight increase in exposure and
sharpening the single pelican in the upper left of the image.

Mark, this is an incredible shot. You captured quite well the passing storm and such angry interesting clouds. I like the well-placed pelican. If you wish, punching up the blues might tell the viewer that the storm has passed?   Posted: 01/16/2025 12:49:47

Mark - Love the shot! "moody skys" are always fun - especially over open ocean.
Something to play with is that pelican. One option would be lightening up the pelican a little. I'm not sold on the idea as the backlit view of the pelican is nice. But if you have the resolution it might be interesting.   Posted: 01/22/2025 21:49:22
