This is taken from Emerald Park - an amazing view on an easy hiking trail overlooking Little Rock Arkansas. The photo is taken of the Arkansas River with a popular state park in the distance (the hills are Pinnacle Mountain State Park). The Arkansas River meanders in front of an old quarry in the foreground, around a golf course in the mid ground, a major walking bridge, a major car bridge and the state park in the background.
The goal for the edits were made to bring back some of the blue sky. Not entirely sure where the streaks came from in the sky but I got enough of the clouds to be happy with the result. Haze in the distance was not adjusted as that is common in the scene. More saturation was added to the land and river to bring out the fall colors. A little texture was added to make more of the colors and trees “pop”.

This is a beautiful landscape/waterscape image. You have really brought out the colors of the foliage, the rocks, the river, the far away mountains and the sky. (I didn't know Arkansas had mountains! )

Your photo is truly unique! I'm amazed at how you transformed the source image into such a striking piece. The colors are vibrant and harmonize beautifully from foreground to background. The composition feels precise, and the depth is perfectly balanced. I agree with others that the sky should remain untouched-the clouds are stunning and add so much character. Thanks for sharing this wonderful work!   Posted: 11/22/2024 19:15:56
