Agree with Will's comments above. I like the way your composition features the driftwood (the most interesting part of the photograph). Might have also tried getting lower/close - perhaps to use the stump as a leading line to the chaos of the root system. I like the alternate version (including your processing) - but would prefer a frame with the entire tree (avoiding the upper limb getting cut off. You have presented us with two very fine images. I am not sure which I like the most. I always admire your monochrome.

A rare color image! I really like the wild, unmanicured feeling of the beach and the reflections in the wet sand. I like the color image more than the monochrome, but mostly because the monochrome image is so busy.   Posted: 09/11/2023 18:53:16

Great images! I like both of these very much. The tone of the monochrome is excellent and allows me to pause to consider the image in more detail. I love the mood of the main image.
