Our botanical garden has an exhibit called “Where the Wind Lives.” Today was perfect for this, as there was such a wonderful breeze.
Canon EOS R5 MkII with Lensbaby Twist 28. ISO 200, 1/2500 . I decreased the highlights and whites, with slight sharpening. I cropped slightly.

Where the Wind Lives is such a cool concept, and the Lensbaby really does justice to this exhibit. The cropping and sharpening that you did really puts your stamp on this exhibit and makes it your own art. Posted: 08/05/2026 21:50:57
Love this- Canan's adjectives are perfect. A happy/hopeful/whimsical image. I like your crop and the fact that it brightens from lower left across the frame. Helps guide viewers gaze. Sharp center. Cindy, I am glad that Steven forwarded your explanation of what was photographed, although the resulting image stands on its own. Whether you used a Lensbaby (which you did) or an effect in Photoshop or other processing program does not matter. It is the image that counts and this is a fine image. I would, however, have liked to see a slightly larger circle of sharp focus. But this is your image, and not mine. Posted: 08/09/2026 20:03:43
Thank you, Chan. I'm still figuring the Lensbaby out. I have a second one that I'm REALLY trying to figure out. None of the images using that lens were any good at all. Steep learning curve. Posted: 08/10/2026 00:24:54

Hello Cindy, Sorry to crash your forum but I liked your original and unusual take on this art installation. It caught my eye immediately. My wife and I just moved to Hot Springs and I took a couple of shots of this wonderful piece in Garvan Gardens also.

Thank you for posting this. Interesting that your image of the same scene is so different from Cindy's. When I look at your image - I see flames. Cindy's feels more like a celebration, confetti, etc. They're both interesting! Posted: 08/15/2026 08:09:46
