About the Image(s)

While walking through a local park during the early evening hours a few years ago I noticed a small island in the lake with many birds (blue herons and egrets) flocking to their nests. This image focuses attention to one of the birds ready for landing.
Post production was performed in LR, notably adjustment to color profile (adobe vivid), white balance (cloudy) and other adjustments to texture, clarity, etc. The image was cropped to 8 x 10 portrait.

This image was taken with the following: RAW format; Canon SL1 camera; Tamron 18-200mm, f/3.5-6.3 zoom lens; aperture f/6.3; shutter speed 1/4000; ISO 800; focal length 173mm.
