Happy New Year, Will!

Gee, a prime example of photographic abstracts that compels viewers to stay and contemplate the various lines, shapes, light, and shadows ... every time I look I see something else. Well visualized and presented!   Posted: 01/01/2025 14:19:19

Very interesting image. The lines and various shapes lead my eyes throughout the photo. I like the black & white rendering here as it allows me to focus more on the various details. As far as abstracts go, structural abstracts are my favorite. Thanks for sharing this!   Posted: 01/01/2025 15:33:57

This is amazing. I like the difference in your BW rendering as opposed to mine. Yours seems softer, but you still can see everything clearly. Some of the curved areas appear to disappear, and it looks like there are people in the bottom right. A very interesting image. Thank you.   Posted: 01/01/2025 21:58:24

Love this - so much to see - my eyes keep wandering around the frame encountering new surprises. The B&W works well. I like that it's not obvious how this was created - that makes me wonder. I suspect this is a multiple exposure/composite; at least some of the images are glass panes with their reflections. Once everyone has had an opportunity to comment - I hope you'll explain what this is (I still remember your ice cream sprinkles!).   Posted: 01/02/2025 16:25:59

Thanks Steve. This is a handheld triple exposure taken inside one of the larger Washington DC metro stations. The alignment of the images gives you the false impression that you are looking up at a building or atrium.   Posted: 01/02/2025 20:29:16

Will, what an interesting image. Well done!! It took me a few minutes of confusion to realize that this is a composite image. Perhaps you went a little too far in the compositing process. You might try removing a layer or two of the smaller elements. Isn't it fun to experiment with photography?   Posted: 01/02/2025 20:08:30

I have a number of different versions of this. It's a multiple exposure, 3 handheld images done in-camera. This one is my favorite.   Posted: 01/02/2025 20:30:46
