About the Image(s)
I took it at the MoMa last July. I loved the shadows connecting with black wire on the white floor.
Took me some time to compose it correctly but I got it eventually how I wanted it. The edit is in high contrast.

Adi - An interesting double juxtaposition of items; the two chairs and their shadows. The grout lines of the tiles seems to stabilize the whole picture by adding to the contrast. Certainly catches the eye, and coupled with the "stain" of the marble gives the eye more than enough to ponder.   Posted: 12/08/2023 09:05:28

Adi, what a lovey study of lines, light and shadow! Thanks for mentioning TAKING YOUR TIME with the composition. You have captured the perfect perspective and have reminded me that slow and thoughtful takes the day. After a recent presentation by one of my mentors, I made a tiny label that I adhered to the back of my camera. It says: "SLOW"   Posted: 12/08/2023 10:17:34
Yea. It is often that after a full day's sessions I'll find out I took 10 clicks.   Posted: 12/08/2023 14:48:47
Love the composition. Lines and grids with touch of grey shades. Two main characters connect well without touching each other.   Posted: 12/08/2023 13:53:14

The high contrast works really well here Adi. The subject is simple, clean and concise and really pleasing to view because of that. I'm in two minds about the smudgy pattern in the tiles. In a way, it detracts from the distinct black and white nature of the image. But in another sense, it softens the severity of the pure black and white and without it the chairs may look like they are floating.   Posted: 12/12/2023 06:01:43
Thanks M. Naturally I had no control of the tiles. Just had to work with it.   Posted: 12/12/2023 13:38:06
Hi Adi, like the perfect shadow of the chairs on the designed tiles. The crop is too tight for me and wondering how little more space in front of the chair would change the photo, although it might not say the same story you want to tell.   Posted: 12/12/2023 23:06:31
