About the Image(s)
Description - Originally this image was in color, but as an experiment I converted it in black and white, and I think I like it even more now without any distractions from all the colors. As usual here I used natural light and behind the model was a dark tunnel that gave this dark black background effect.
For conversion I always use Channel Mixer in monochrome and play with red and blue channels there
Camera settings - Nikon D800, 105 mm, f/3.5, 1/400s, ISO 250

I agree. This is a compelling portrait in BnW. The freckles are so nice and add much to the character. Posted: 10/07/2026 12:24:35
I do like the B & W! Her expression tells a story along with her soulful eyes. Posted: 10/09/2026 17:05:23
