E, photographing water takes a lot of patience and practice. my number 1 recommendation is a tripod, as you did. Number 2 is using the timer function.Clicking without a timer, shakes the camera. This is what I think happened here. You have no focus point. As for angle of view - a lower angle with more context would help. I do think that the diagonal water line is a wise choice that helps the composition a lot.   Posted: 08/10/2026 17:21:01

Thank you for this insightful feedback and recommendations, Adi.
Capturing water well is challenging, indeed! I usually use a remote shutter. It that may not have been the case, here.   Posted: 08/10/2026 19:32:17

Elsie you are going to be surprised by my reply but I actually like the color photo better. You don't get to enjoy the addition of yellow/green/dark blue when it's B&W. I also think the water flowing is so much smoother. I like this photo!   Posted: 08/12/2026 18:05:07

Thank you, Sheila.
I actually agree with you. In another version, I toned the image blue and enhanced the yellow leaf. It is something I would like to pursue. I appreciate the feedback!   Posted: 08/17/2026 04:43:27

Hi Elsie, I actually agree with Sheila on this one. In my opinion, the color version works much better, and the warm tones in the background add more movement to the main subject - the flowing water.
And I will also agree with Adi, that if you put a little more focus on the water, I think you could have an ideal photo.
I still really like your idea and creativity, though, and I'd love to see more of your work exploring this same theme!
