About the Image(s)
The camera settings - Nikon D800, 105mm lens, f/2.8, 1/125
This photo was taken during sunset, in low light conditions. Despite the lack of light, I was able to partially recover the brightness in Lightroom, although this resulted in a slight grain effect. To enhance the background and create a sense of depth, I mirrored the right side of the upper part of the image to the left side, which added a subtle feeling of volume and balance to the composition.

This image has lovely composition, Hanna and the subject looks looks lonely!
However, there seems to be artifact in the her face and hands. Perhaps these were introduced by your recovery efforts in LR?   Posted: 11/18/2025 22:39:27

Hi Hanna. As usual, you have shown us a beautiful and compelling portrait. But there are some elements of the image that seem a bit "off" to me. Firstly, I agree with Elsie that the skin on the model's face appears odd - it looks rough and irregularly textured which is different from what I understand grain to be. Secondly, there is a distinct imbalance of the lighting between her face and her hands. The hands are brighter than her face and that is the first place my eye lands and I don't think that was your intent. My last point is a suggestion that, in my opinion, would better match the pose with the image title. I don't get "loneliness" from this composition. Perhaps if the model's eyes were cast to one side and slightly downward, it might better evoke that feeling.   Posted: 11/22/2025 03:51:29
Hana,
your portraits are on the edge of perfection. The edit is well and the subject is compelling. Exposure and texture are spot on. I would consider a bit more softer focus not to emphasis so strongly the texture of the facial skin.   Posted: 11/22/2025 17:13:53
