About the Image(s)
This image was taken in the late afternoon at Briar lake Forest Park locally renown for its large ancient trees.
Although the fall colors are pleasing, I was attracted to the stream of light and the semblance of a dance between the two trees at either end.
Therefore, I converted to B&W with the intention of enhancing the prominence of this imagery.
Specs: Cannon 6D Mark II , 16 - 35 mm lens, 1/100,f6.3, ISO 200, 35mm focal length.

Hi Elsie. This is a lovely "Lewinesque" image that focuses on the shapes and textures of the Autumn scene. I appreciate the textures, depth and tones. I find it to be a pleasing composition. I think you achieved your goal.   Posted: 11/06/2024 23:09:16

Elsie, lovely scene, indeed!
A bold visuality by virtue of the strong contrast and seemingly short tonal gamut between white and pure black: the fall scene very much invites the viewer to ponder the coming of a very cold winter. Well accomplished, Elsie!
P.S. And yet, another "Lewinesque" vibe, as Michael suggests and Adi dedicates! LOL!!   Posted: 11/12/2024 11:42:19
