This is called Morning Mist, and was taken a few weeks ago at sunrise. It was taken at ISO 400; F6.3' 1/800 sec; and 483mm.
I loved the way the fog looked that morning, and kept my eye on that loon. When he decided to stretch a little, I felt lucky to have caught it....

Loons strike me as mysterious for some reason and the capture of one in fog adds to that feeling. Then to get the perfect timing in your shot where he stretches.. amazing skill and good fortune. Posted: 07/07/2025 03:44:06

What a lovely loon in the fog! Zooming in a bit more might show more details of the loon, but still maintaining the mist? Posted: 07/11/2025 14:33:42
