About the Image(s)
I live in Maryland, USA, where we do not usually have too many substantial snow events each winter. But, this January we did. I took a lot of pictures. But this one spoke to american oaf the entrance to a church. The setting had church-like quiet and calm. The only post processing was to
“whiten” the snow since the in-camera meter resulted in an overly grey cast to the snow.??
Camera was an iPhone 16 pro. Proves that the best camera is the one you have with you.

There's nothing like fresh snow to purify a scene. I'm wondering if it might be interesting to crop the left side to center the arch?   Posted: 02/12/2025 15:48:06
Laurie - Thanks for the suggestion. I rather like the pseudo french curve that is formed by the current crop.   Posted: 02/12/2025 21:46:26
Beautiful image! I wonder if cropping to just show the arch might be considered or darkening the areas outside the arch?   Posted: 02/13/2025 08:09:33

Snow is so beautiful when it first falls; your photo demonstrates it. But I don't like driving or slipping, so I'm lucky to be a snowbird. Did branches break from all the snow /ice?   Posted: 02/14/2025 00:26:26
The branches held. The snow was soft and light so while it caressed all the branches, it did not weigh them down. The arch is what caught my eye.   Posted: 02/14/2025 19:38:48
