I was on my biking tour with few of my friends to Northern India, Rajasthan, The famous Fort of Kumbhalgarh. As we were ascending the fort steps I saw this beautiful picture of a young father holding his little boys hand and taking him upto the fort to get in touch with our rich culture , history and heritage. The sunset sky was in front of them, and I was few meters behind, I took out my phone and clicked this shot. There was one man who walked suddenly into my frame. whom I have removed from my scene in edit. Also enhanced the colors to add some drama to the scene. I have also shared the original capture for you to see.
Since this was captured by Mobile, I did not dial in any settings into the phone , so I am not sharing the EXIF.
Hope you enjoy this image as much as I enjoyed clicking it . And Merry christmas in advance to all and compliments of the season.
Cheers
Prasad

This is a heartwarming image. The tones of the sky set them off beautifully, and you caught their movement just right. Might you consider cropping off the top down to the bottom of the piece jutting out? It feels to me like that top part isn't needed, and would put the focus even more on your subjects.   Posted: 12/05/2024 15:48:20

Thanks Laurie, the reason I did not crop the top piece jutting out is for two reasons. one I wanted to bring out the scale of the structure hence I did not crop the top. second reason is , if I would have cropped it , then the structure would seem infinitely tall. which too I did not want. as it would then look like a tall commercial building. But this is a fort , and not some boring commercial building.

Really like this image - simple but so effective. There is a real heart warming story in this image.
I like the composition. For me, cropping in closer changes the feel of the image. As is, it feels like we're observing rather than being part of it. Not sure if this makes sense.
Great treatment of the sky (and the glow on the fort). it adds a nice warmth to the scene.   Posted: 12/06/2024 01:33:41

What a difference your post-processing makes! The warmer colors make the images pop out and demonstrate the father's love for his son.   Posted: 12/08/2024 15:46:08

Family shots are wonderful. Holding hands at this stage is a classic that is soon replaced with independence. It would be a great gift if you could find the father and son and give them this image.
Your processing is excellent.   Posted: 12/09/2024 20:57:10
