About the Image(s)

This is a picture I took of a group of chives I had growing. When isolated the flowers are quite beautiful. I liked the arrangement of these three, showing the progression of the buds opening. I also liked the one ed leaf!
I played with saturation and hue to deepen the purples and brighten the greens. I also added a frame.

Not seen Chive flowers before, they are lovely.
Like that you isolated the three and that they are almost in a diagonal line. Nice progression of sharp, not so sharp and then blurred!! The colours are lovely.
Only thing I might have done is give them a bit more space as image seems bit cramped?
Well done.

Wonderful photo Janet! I love the composition and your use of depth of field! Very nice focus on the main flower and the colors are very nice!   Posted: 07/03/2024 23:29:24

Nice photo Janet. I also like the progression from in focus, to not so in focus. I also like that you brought out the purple in the flowers. That really help a lot, along with the border. I agree with Angela, that the image seems a little cramped. Maybe, don't crop the photo so much. There is some space to the upper left in the original that might help provide some space.   Posted: 07/09/2024 22:52:37

I like the structure of the flowers and the clarity of the front one to the progressive muting of the other two. The one leaf looks like a crochet hook and adds interest. The purple border ties the flowers to the edge. I agree with the others that a bit more space would have improved the image. Very nice.   Posted: 07/10/2024 19:28:49

Janet, nice crop. Super sharp on front flower. It really pops. Great shot.   Posted: 07/16/2024 18:44:59

I like the crop and the selection of three flowers on the left chosen. However, in the original, I wonder if you experimented with selecting the three (or two) flowers on the right? It may achieve a similar composition with more space to eliminate some of the crowding that others have mentioned.   Posted: 07/29/2024 14:46:16
