We had some unusually warm weather here that brought out some early flower blooms. The weather was then predicted to turn cold causing a widespread freeze. The day before the freeze, not wanting to miss the nice flowers, I went out and photographed them at a local garden. Once home, I decided to do something a bit different with the individual blooms. I started with a photo of a red amaryllis I had at home shooting it on a black background and then created an array of the single bloom. I then added other blooms making separate arrays of each color layering them together to form a colorful display. The arrays were made in Photoshop and once I got the hang of it, they were easy to create.

Ok, I had to look up Mandala, and what that means, but I do think that you captured the concept of wholeness, harmony and unity with the image. It is good that you had this many images to work with. Everything is very sharp, and the colors work very well together. Very creative. Well done.   Posted: 04/01/2026 14:00:29

Doug, this is a spectacular piece of digital artistry! Your layering in Photoshop is seamless, and the colors are vibrant. Using the amaryllis as a base created a striking sense of harmony. Creative!   Posted: 04/17/2026 23:44:52
