About the Image(s)
Taken with my Canon R5, 24-70mm lens. f/20, ISO 100,5sec
This is a white mask that I tilted slightly towards the black glass base. It was lit inside with a single red light. I placed the camera so that I could get the red reflection in the glass. In post processing I cropped in a little and using a black brush painted away the areas not needed. I enhanced the red a little and finished with a white key line.

Great shot, and set up. The placement of the mask to the right is well done as is the slight tilt of the reflection. The lighting is excellent. It really brings out the red in the mask, and provides for a good reflection. The border is a good addition. The only nit-pick is maybe you could have left a little more spacing at the top and the bottom. Well done.   Posted: 12/01/2025 14:00:09
Yes, agree. All bit too close to edge.   Posted: 12/05/2025 15:33:47
Another wonderfully creative project!! I really like the reflection and slight tilt of the mask…I think it gives it a spooky feeling. Great setup and great idea!   Posted: 12/06/2025 16:56:16

You are very creative, looked at your other group too. Yes, very spooky. Looks like the original didn't have a lot of extra space around it. Generative expand can fix that.   Posted: 12/10/2025 04:06:32

Yes it is a bit cramped.   Posted: 12/11/2025 16:30:35

Great imagination and very striking result. Seems I am the only one to disagree about the crop, I think you got it right by making us look at the mask.   Posted: 12/13/2025 12:35:49
Very creative. The red against the black background really stands out. The key line gives the viewer the information as to where the image ends. The idea of using a mask and reflection works nicely. Well done.   Posted: 12/17/2025 23:47:46
