About the Image(s)
Taken with Nikon Z5. F/7.1, 1/400s, ISO 100, 28mm. Another thing that I have been working with is panoramas. The photo is of St. Anothny Falls in Minneapolis. The falls used to be natural, and this is the place where Father Louis Hennepin established a settlement that would become the city of Minneapolis. These are 9 photographs that I took left to right. I tried using a tripod, because it made sense that would work well, but I did not have a level place to stand, so this was taken by holding the camera by hand and using the grid in the view finder. I stitched them together in Adobe Light Room. I then imported the panorama into Photoshop Express where I performed a HDR (High Dynamic Range) edit. Google AI describes this as enhancing the dynamic range of the photo bringing out brighter highlights and shadows. I then performed a dehaze on the sky. I removed a square item in the lower right-hand corner, and the top of a skyscraper sticking up behind the reddish-brown building because I thought those things were distracting. Finally, I cloned darker clouds over the bright ones in the upper right hand corner.'

Lots of leading lines and the frothy water has plenty of detail in it. Cloning out the bright top right hand corner has worked well.
Well done.   Posted: 07/03/2025 14:57:37
