About the Image(s)
Had a day out with some friends from the camera club to a local dirt track racing. The buggies were much more photogenic than the cars.
Taken with my Canon R5, 70-200mm lens. f/7.1, ISO 800, 1/1250 sec
Took image into PS and cropped in to get a bit more of the action and get rid of the distracting BG. I liked the third buggy at top left corner as felt it balanced the image. The "dirt" was quite orange so just used H&S to slightly tone it down. Other than then sharpening in high pass that is all I did.

Good action photograph. The cropping was really good. The background was a distraction, but so was the foreground. The color of the track is really good in the edited version. One small thing: In the original car C10 is really kicking up a lot of dirt, making it look like the car is going fast. As a suggestion, maybe make this more of a panorama. Re-crop so that you can see more of a dirt spray to the right and give yourself a little more room on the left but keep the height the same.   Posted: 05/06/2025 01:26:50
An interesting action photo. Cropping all the distractions in background and foreground works to put more focus on the cars. I agree with Kurt about re-cropping the dirt spray as it is an important part of the story. Nice.   Posted: 05/06/2025 02:43:52
