About the Image(s)
'I took this a couple of years ago, and I am finally getting back to it. I used a Nikon D80, F/8, 1/250, ISO 160, 26mm. This is the University of Minnesota Football Stadium. Our team nickname is the Golden Gophers, which is where I got the title. This is a midday photo that I took in the spring. I made just a few edits in Photoshop Express. I removed the hand railings from the original because they are distracting. I also lessened the exposure a little on the stadium and did a dehaze on the sky to bring out a little more blue.'

Lovely shot of the university. I expect it looks a bit different on match day!!
I think the sky contributes a lot to the image and I am glad you pulled a bit more detail out in your post processing.
What would have made it even better, in my opinion, is if there had been a bit of wind and the flags were flying!!

Good image of the stadium. Removing the handrails was a good decision. The sky really pops. The perspective on most of the columns is good. Perhaps straightening the two edges in post would make them all straight and would make this even a better image - although it is pretty good as is.   Posted: 04/06/2025 07:02:35
