Photographing my granddaughter as she savored the decadent creation in front of her was pure joy. Watching her light up from the simple pleasure of a drink??”it was magical. Part of the delight came from knowing she rarely gets to indulge in that much sugar (unless, of course, she’s on vacation!). The other part? Capturing that sparkle in her eyes and the uncontainable smile on her face.
To enhance the moment, I played around with a black-and-white filter to see if it made the emotion more pronounced. I think it does??”what do you think?
The image was taken with my iPhone 13 Pro. The color version is unedited to preserve the richness and reduce shadows, while the black-and-white version was created using the PicTapGo app.

Lovely photo of your grand daughter enjoying herself. I personally like the colour version best as it shows up more detail especially in the ice cream.
In the B&W I had a play with levels to lift some of the shadows from her face as they are quite dark and you lose detail. See what you think. Posted: 02/09/2025 18:12:45

I myself like the black and white version better. I thought all the bright colors and the bold pattern of the table was a little distracting in the original. The B&W helped me focus on your grand daughter. The positioning of the shake also hid what could have been a distracting design on the sweatshirt. Your timing was right on to capture her joy of consuming the desert. I did like Angela's adjustment to lighted the photo a bit, but great job overall.

Lovely image that captures the pure joy of your granddaughter enjoying that yummy looking drink! Personally, I like the B&W version the best! I think it focuses on the pure joy in her face, and to me, that's what this shot is all about! Posted: 02/22/2025 17:19:36
