I have been very busy during November and December with participation in a community theater play 'Scrooge the Musical'. The director asked me to take some promo shots and this is one of them that includes the characters 'Spirit of Christmas Present' talking to Ebeneezer Scrooge. The lighting was not real great and was casting a yellow/orange hue and were causing some issues with highlights and shadows. So editing, I cropped the image some, adjusted highlights and shadows, plus some minor sharpening using LightRoom.

When I first looked at your images in the email I did wonder why on earth had you created an image that was almost all gold!! Then I looked closer and realised it was the originalI was looking at!!. What an amazing difference some careful post processing can do to an image!!!
The characters are sharp and I like the neutral colour palette. The square crop works well.

I forgot to mention the correction of the yellow/orange hue was corrected with a white balance adjustment in LightRoom. Posted: 01/03/2025 16:10:47

You did a great job correcting the color with edits. Much better image that way. It looks like you straightened out the image also. Good shot, just one small thing. It looks like there is a bell coming out of Scrooge's night cap, or maybe it is part of his night cap, but a little distracting. Posted: 01/07/2025 00:37:59
The bell is mounted on the bed. If you have seen the movie version, a bell like that is mounted on the wall and rings like crazy when the spirits show up. So this bell does the same thing on the bed - a stage hand is shaking the whole bed and causing it to ring like crazy. I do agree it is a little distracting and removal from the picture would only improve the look. Posted: 01/07/2025 02:32:34
What an improvement from the original. It really tells a story.
The color correction made this image more realistic.
It can be difficult to capture a good photo in difficult lighting but you have improved it.
