About the Image(s)
This was one of the many photos I took in White Sands National Park, New Mexico.
I liked the patterns the wind makes in the sand. It is like fluffy snow and hard to walk in but beautiful. I do not do many black and white images so I thought I would try one on this image. The original is monotone so not that much different.

A great image and a very good choice to use black and white. It is very suited to that and brings out all the textures and lines. Strange that the shapes on the left side are so different from the foreground!!
I wonder whether taking a bit of the sky out would concentrate the eye more onto the textures etc?

I do like the edited image better! The contrast brings out the details in the sand dunes better in my opinion. Nice shot!   Posted: 01/04/2025 23:32:48

I like the shot, and the black and white version not only added needed contrast to the patterns in the sand, but it also really helped show the desolation of the desert. A simple edit, but it really helped. I wouldn't change anything. Great shot.   Posted: 01/07/2025 00:22:07
