About the Image(s)
As I step into retirement and prepare my home for sale, I find myself pausing often to take in the memories this little village on the Jersey Shore holds. For nearly 20 years, it has been my sanctuary, a place of peace away from the hustle of New York City, whose skyline??”faint but visible??”rests on the horizon in this photo.
I captured this view from my balcony on a crisp autumn day. The Atlantic Ocean lies calmly beyond the rooftops, mirroring the quiet charm of the town. Here, time seems to move more slowly, each season leaving its mark. This place has been my shelter, a place where the world feels smaller and simpler.
As I turn toward the next chapter, this image serves as a bittersweet reminder of the tranquility I’m leaving behind. This village will always be a part of me, woven into the fabric of countless quiet mornings and starlit evenings.

I think the shadows in the photo are well done. They add a feeling of the beginning of the day. You also did well to get the ocean into the shot.
Something you might want to play with. In photoshop express there is something called dehaze that I use regularly with the sky. A small adjustment will bring out the blue of the sky and white of the clouds.   Posted: 11/11/2024 14:53:11
