One of my favourite Hippeastrum, it’s a double flower and deep red in colour. Taken with Canon 7D with Canon 100-400 lens at 1/100 sec, f5.6, and ISO 320. Camera raw adjustments and in photoshop cut flower out, added texture in background to bring colour out and finished with Nik filters.

Very nice! I like complimentary colors and the textured background. To be picky - I'd like to see the two brown spots on the leaf and the brown at the tip removed. Posted: 07/10/2024 05:03:08

Hi Nadia. This is gorgeous. I love your crop and the background you have selected. It really brings out the richness of the flower and allows it to grab all of the attention I agree with the nit pick suggestion from Marti, but I'm not sure I would have even noticed if she hadn't brought it up. Nadia, very beautiful. The color of red is luscious. I also like the background you used, really pops the color. And I like the way you brightened the background toward the center - it brings my eye right to where it should be. Very nice job. Posted: 07/15/2024 23:59:41
