About the Image(s)
One of my favourite Hippeastrum, it’s a double flower and deep red in colour. Taken with Canon 7D with Canon 100-400 lens at 1/100 sec, f5.6, and ISO 320. Camera raw adjustments and in photoshop cut flower out, added texture in background to bring colour out and finished with Nik filters.

Hi Marti, thanks for your feedback, I must admit I didn't notice those two spots on the leaf. Thanks for taking the time to remove them and do agree that the leaf looks neater.   Posted: 07/16/2024 10:24:33
Hi Nadia. This is gorgeous. I love your crop and the background you have selected. It really brings out the richness of the flower and allows it to grab all of the attention I agree with the nit pick suggestion from Marti, but I'm not sure I would have even noticed if she hadn't brought it up.   Posted: 07/15/2024 18:36:25

Hi Ingrid, thanks for your comments, it's appreciated. I must admit that I missed those two spots.   Posted: 07/16/2024 10:27:31
Nadia, very beautiful. The color of red is luscious. I also like the background you used, really pops the color. And I like the way you brightened the background toward the center - it brings my eye right to where it should be. Very nice job.   Posted: 07/15/2024 23:59:41

Another of your amazing backgrounds. I'm jealous. I might brighten the image just a tad.   Posted: 07/23/2024 01:01:11
