About the Image(s)
One of my favorite all time flower models - the Parrot Beak which is a type of lotus flower. It’s very tiny, about about .5 inches. These were two growing together and I thought it was both sensual and interesting. Shot in my small studio using battery operated LEDs for lighting and a 6 shot focus stack. For me, being a ex-theatrical lighting designer, it’s all about the lighting, and these little guys are a pleasure to light and shoot. Sony A7rii and a Tokina macro 85 mm lens.

Rich excellent results. It is definitely all about the light in this game. I have nothing to say about the flower itself, bringing up the light and saturation on the flowers themselves is excellent. There are however some corner issues top right and bottom right, which can be easily taken care of. The warm tones of the background are complimentary to a dead black background. I like it.   Posted: 09/06/2023 17:11:06
Another very nice flower Rich. Beautiful details and colors. Just wish the whites resulting on the right were less prominent. But considering how large these flowers aren't that's being too picky and way beyond what I could accomplish.   Posted: 09/06/2023 19:37:17

This is a lovely image. The colors are nice and the lighting is great. I think that the edding really helped draw out the flower. It is really well done.   Posted: 09/13/2023 22:56:01
Rich, what a gorgeous flower and you've done an excellent job in bringing out its colours. Just lovely.   Posted: 09/15/2023 06:07:27
Quite nice. There are some curious black holes at bottom. I would clone the green stem over them. Also, maybe bring out the dark shadows in the greens just a bit.   Posted: 09/18/2023 09:32:43
