About the Image(s)
Shot with Canon R6m2, Canon RF100mm lens, 1/6 sec at f/ 8, processed in Helicon from 35 images shot in camera. I shot it on white, the color comes from the tulip. Do you think the background needs a texture? Any other suggestions for the background?

Nice capture. I wonder about leaning a little on the green side for the background? There are a few small spots with haloes but otherwise good work.   Posted: 07/03/2026 23:42:34
A great image capture and edit, Doug. Nice and sharp and you've got the Helicon really hummin. I appreciate how the flower jumps off the page with solid 3D DOF.
FYI, I don't see the green background that Marti sees.   Posted: 07/09/2026 01:19:31

Doug, what a beautiful tulip and you've done it justice in showcasing its beauty with your approach of image stacking. Personally, I think the background colour is too strong and acts as a distraction. I would fade the pink somewhat. I don't believe it needs a texture. Something like this, is what I had in mind and it's only my personal take.   Posted: 07/12/2026 11:53:44
Doug, what a beauty. The stacking realism makes it pop. Really like your background too. Great work.   Posted: 07/12/2026 18:56:18
