Marti, you image has a pleasing composition and sharpness throughout. I'm personally not a fan of plants/flowers that lack a pleasing color or tones in B&W. I might try an abstract on something like this, but not coming up with ideas where to start. So...I'll keep thinking.

Marti, if you used flash it was a well placed one. Hardly a shadow! What I really like about this is the backlight coming through the petals. Also, the focus is very good, I take it you did not stack it? Nicely pleasing. Posted: 01/09/2025 23:49:11

Hi Marti. I really like the composition of this and the sparkly texture caused by the flash. Your focus is perfect and I love the contrast between the sparkle and the smoothness of the center and the stamen. My only suggestion would be to clone out the imperfections in the upper left corner, which draws the viewer's attention unnecessarily. And I'm interested to see an image from you that doesn't need a stroke. :) Posted: 01/16/2025 01:52:21
