This "Purity White Cosmos" was captured in this current winter in our country. This image was shot from the farm house called ASTRAS in Pabna area of Bangladesh; I visited the farm on 4th December in 2024. The ASTRAS remain filled with many gardens of seasonal flowers.
I used my Samsung S 23 Ultra mobile's camera for the images (It was an early morning and I shot hand held & without gimbal). with no flash compulsory, I captured the image. I used Photoshop CS6 for editing and post processing (to crop, discard & use paint filter) to create this, out of the original image before submission.
I hope you will enjoy the image and kindly give me your feedback on it.

Nice work on this one. To be picky, I would like to see the black bugs or (whatever they are) removed-especially the one at the top which takes my eye off the flower.   Posted: 01/08/2025 05:05:41

Kamal, a Great Job to separate the flower from the background. I also like the paint texture on the flower and background. I would like to suggest that you take this flower/ or the one for next month to the next level and put a mask over the yellow center of the flower, mast goes before the texture, thereby removing the texture from the center. I would also suggest that you use the remove/erase tool and remove the spots/holes on the flower petals. You are advancing very well.   Posted: 01/09/2025 22:15:01

Hi Kamal. I really like the treatment you have applied to this flower, and the the different texture on the background. I agree that the three black spots should be removed as they detract from the calmness of the image. I also love the sharp smoothness of the original flower, and think that it would also make a great image without the paint filter.   Posted: 01/16/2025 02:13:29

Very interesting treatment. I would lesson the effect on all the flower to have more contrast with the background. Especially the center should have less.   Posted: 01/21/2025 18:18:31

Kamal, lovely flower. I always enjoy your descriptions of the places you've been. I'm always in favor of attempting to use textures where they make sense. For me it works on the background but not on the flower itself. Also, the bugs or black spots should be erased, not because they're natural objects, but because the eye of the viewer is drawn to the spots and not to the flower. You're getting more creative with each submittal and I'm enjoying watching your photography grow.   Posted: 01/21/2025 19:09:49
