About the Image(s)
Bloom. This image was taken with my Nikon d7100, Macro 105 lens. It was taken a t 1/4 sec, ISO100, F14. In postprocessing, I eliminated the distracting background, applied Topax AI Sharpen, added a stroke and cloned out some imperfections.

Another beautiful image. I like that you added the stroke. To me, it really sets off the flowers. I'm a little bothered by the stem going out of the top but there really isn't anything you can do about it as the bottom of the stem wouldn't make sense if you removed the top. It's a stunning shot.   Posted: 01/08/2025 05:10:07

Ingrid, I agree with Marti and this is a beautiful image. The color in these gladiolus is just so inviting to move in closer and see beautiful viens and to smell them. I like the composition and think you picked a perfect intentional spot to cut the top of the stem. A really beautiful image.   Posted: 01/09/2025 22:24:42

Stunning image. The colors are sensuous, focus excellent especially on the stamen, nice composition, hard to find anything wrong. My only comment would be to maybe darken the upper stem a bit. My eye does wonder there. Great job!   Posted: 01/11/2025 00:25:15

Thanks, Rich. Great idea about darkening the upper stem. It is happening as soon as I leave this site!   Posted: 01/16/2025 02:22:15

Quite beautiful. How would it be if you increase the imminence of the purple? And, yes, darken the upper stem. Maybe the bottom too.   Posted: 01/21/2025 18:22:10
