About the Image(s)
Since there were honey bees all over this tree I shot a series of images using my Sony RX10 at about 200 mm and 1/5000 sec at F4. This was the best of the lot. As you can see it took some amount of exposure adjustment and cropping in Luminar Neo and sharpening in Topaz. The wings are at the side of the bee and I think it would have been more effective if they were extended up. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Rich, a very nice capture. Composition works and the bee leads my eye into the flower. I do not believe you can control the bees wing position. They move so very fast and are transparent so not to worry, in my opinion. I do wonder about the catch light in the eye. It looks like studio flash. Are you sure you didn't paste in a studio light and flying bee?   Posted: 11/11/2024 00:11:47

I'm going to agree with Bob on the catch light. While it is in the original, I feel it could be less prominent...more like the original. I like the capture though and it would be hard to get the wings just right. Perhaps I'd tone down the background flowers? Good job on the capture.   Posted: 11/11/2024 03:47:06

Hi Rich. Great crop and focus on the bee. I love the contrast between the blurry background and flower below the bee, and the perfectly focused bee and flowers on the right. I think this is a very effective image with a nice diagonal composition. I don't mind the dominant catch light.   Posted: 11/19/2024 18:56:22
