About the Image(s)
I and a fellow photographer went to Grand Isle to get some shorebirds, sunrise and sunset. We stayed over night because it is about 2 1/2 hour drive from my home.
This was taken with my iPhone SE 2 Generation. This cellphone gives me some setting I can’t get with my camera: 3.99mm, 1/1500 sec., F1.8, ISO 20. I like the leading lines
going to the sunset. The time was 4:13 pm. I did not do too much to this image. I put this image into Lightroom and added some saturation to pull out the color in the clouds of the sun. I also brought into photoshop and worked with the camera raw sliders to give the image some drama.

The diagonal lines of the beach and the waves lead the eye very nicely to the vanishing point. The clouds do the same from above. Adding the warm tone to the finished image gave it a very natural sunset mood. Very nice.   Posted: 01/10/2024 00:40:56

This is a very peaceful scene Linda. I like how the composition has leading lines moving into the horizon. Your edits did add more drama with the warm light/colors in the clouds.
I wonder if this image could be improved by cropping out some of the sky? The aspect ratio of the image feels a little too "square". I've done a cropped example as food for thought.   Posted: 01/10/2024 18:50:08

Love this beautiful, serene landscape. The leading lines are so dramatic. The textures of the water and sand are brought out nicely. I do agree with Denise that the top could be cropped off. There's a lot of noise in the dark part of the cloud, and with a wider ratio it feels more like a grand panorama. I can only imagine how peaceful it must have been in this lovely location.   Posted: 01/10/2024 23:47:58

Hi Linda, what a lovely, peaceful scene. I like your capture, composition with leading lines and vanishing point and your colour toning. I like Denise's suggestion of a crop, it definitely adds to the depth. What a lovely place to be!   Posted: 01/21/2024 20:34:35

Hi Linda, I have some visual feedback for you. I have skewed the foreground to bring the shore in from the bottom left, added some motion blur to the sea to give it a more tranquil feel. Then saturated the colours to give a warmer feel and lightened the centre of the image a little.   Posted: 01/22/2024 09:38:48
