About the Image(s)

This image was taken on my recent trip to Iceland. It was a particularly windy day as you can tell from the horse’s mane. The image was taken with my Olympus OM-1 with a 12-40mm lens. The camera was hand-held, and the settings were manual focus, f6.3, 1/200s, ISO 400, +0.3 stop. Following basic adjustments in Camera Raw I made the following changes in Photoshop:

Removed the fence in the foreground using content-aware fill.

Tidied up the background a little with the spot healing brush.

Added a texture to the sky and 3 further textures to the background (none on the horse).

Did some dodging and burning on the horse.

I gave the background a slight painterly effect using Topaz Studio and also sharpened the image in Topaz AI
