About the Image(s)

More from the Camargue. Our workshop spent four days in the lagoons and beaches photographing the Camargue horses as they were herded by the guardians. This high key was post-processed in LR, PS, and Colorefex Pro 4. Shot with a Sony A-1, 70-200mm at 200mm, 1/1600, f8, ISO 3200.

Now this I do like - absolutely stunning final image from the original capture. Cropping in hard on those two central horses and presenting them isolated from the background with a high key finish is just the right thing to do. Honestly, this is my favourite image I have see so far from you Sanford - really well done.   Posted: 07/08/2024 20:44:37

You've pulled out all the stops, making this scene timeless and purely beautiful.
It's a picture that's sure to please. It's a good idea to use technology to create something else. You can see the author's point of view and his soft, aesthetic sensibility...

Sanford, first a wonderful job of cropping the image to 3 horses! The water splashes add contrast and I highly enjoy the high contrast you gave to the image which gives it wonderful DOF. Kudos!   Posted: 07/21/2024 16:25:42

Light coloured horses with a light coloured background are the recipe for successful high key image. Your capture, processing and presentation are superb Sanford. As Gordon has mentioned, this is the best image you've produced. Now you just have to keep them coming.   Posted: 07/22/2024 06:53:47

Outstanding image Sanford. I see very few high key images. Great work in post-processing to produce that photograph.   Posted: 07/26/2024 14:36:44

Nice high-keyed image Sanford. Cropping really enhanced this image. The horses at a full gallop with their mane flying and water splashing makes this image really come alive as if one was almost there with you.   Posted: 07/31/2024 23:30:00
