About the Image(s)
Following a visit to Iceland at the end of February, this is Budir Black Church, one of the most photographed in the country. We stayed right next door for a few nights, so managed three early morning visits. The first had a good sky, but no snow, the second was overrun with Spanish tourists, the third had snow but a rubbish sky. So after a bit of fiddling with perspectives, I managed to combine images from days 1 and 3 to come up with the 'best of three'. Sky and steeple from day 1, rest of church and ground from day 2.

A superb final image Gordon. I know many photographers down here who would have just given up in despair. I'm glad you didn't give up, but chose to work around all the challenges. As John Lennon said "There are no problems, only solutions".

Thanks for your comments Ian. Given we were right next door, it was no great hardship to go back each morning for slightly different conditions.   Posted: 04/21/2025 10:16:22
