About the Image(s)

It is taken at early morning in the winter mountain.

I would like to invite your feedback from all of you;

What do you think about the composition? Do you want to crop anywhere? Or are you fine with this?

Nikon Z8 @78mm f11 1/320sec ISO64 Handheld Taken at BW.

I like the footprints in the snow and the shadows on the right side. Perhaps cropping on the right so that it becomes a vetical with the footprint leading one up the image . In cropping I think I would still leave some of the shadow. The shadow seems to be at where there is a slight change in the path leaving one to wonder why the change occurred. This as presented by you is a good image.   Posted: 02/17/2025 19:15:10

Oh Haru - I REALLY like this one, and for a very strange reason. First - the black/white "arguement" is just wonderful. There is just enough shadows in the footsteps to give the image depth. Then there is that lovely shadow of unseen trees on the right. For me - this creates a complete story of 2 opposite forces battling each other for rule of this space. Each is very strong, so no one part wins, and they seem to be playing together. The use of the plain negative space even makes it more intense. I just love this one. Thank you.   Posted: 02/19/2025 19:09:20

Hey Haru, a very thoughtful image with the contrasting objects, namely footsteps and shadows. I like what Ed did for the vertical crop, very dynamic, but lost the shadows. I wonder if when you shot this you could have have captured a more vertical composition with both elements?   Posted: 02/19/2025 22:48:03
