About the Image(s)
A stitched Pano from the Smokey Mountains in Winter. In early AM we were able to capture a very heavy fog in the hollows of the mountains. It was in February and the temperatures were fluctuating quite a bit from day to day, hence the heavy fog. NIkon 810, 70-300mm lens; F18 and 1/40 sec shutter, on tripod

Hi Ed, you did it again. This image really stand out in the format you used as all the layers are such that they lead you through the image from the foreground to the clouds at the top of the frame. While the colour image has it's own positives it does not compare to the BW, For example the brightness in the colour image upper left is a bit of a distraction, and that does not really stand out in the BW Well done   Posted: 01/10/2025 22:27:52

Happy New Year Ed! Thanks for the comments. It is one of my favorite images and really captures the Blue Ridge mountains as one can see ridge after ridge. Because of the fog it really stood out...   Posted: 01/12/2025 11:24:04
