About the Image(s)
Process: The bland sky of the original turned me off. It needed some punch! So, of course, a new sky was the first alteration. A good crop took some bottom off. Then a tweak of the contrast brought out the ancient detail of the stucco. All that was left was turning off the saturation. I liked the old shot, but I LOVE the mono shot.

The structure does stand out much better in BW and the composition with just enough foreground to lead to the structure. Changing the sky was a good choice as the original sky was somewhat boring and did not add. One other option I think would be to darken the blue sky to black and remove the clouds from the original. I think that woud really make the structure stand out even more. Just my taste for blue skies. Your image is well done.   Posted: 01/06/2025 14:15:03

Happy New Year Melissa! A classic 3/4 view done well in B&W with no color distractions. The added clouds do kind of distract as my eye goes there and gets trapped by the white dome and roof. Tone down? The B&W is better though!   Posted: 01/12/2025 11:28:54
