This image was taken at the Raptors centre in Duncan BC . The eagle had landed on a stump at the far end of the field and I was able to capture it from a distance. He was only there for a few seconds.
I cropped the image to make a head shot as the background nd the bruch around the stump were very distracting. Processed in Light room ISO 1600; f5.6; 1/2500 sec

I think he posted the same image as the original was in colour. this was the original
