“THE WATCHMAN” - Canon 1DX - Canon 24-70@24mm - ISO 200 - f16 - 1/8th second
This is probably THE iconic shot in Zion NP - it’s usually a sunset shot taken from Canyon Junction Bridge located along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, - however, at sunset there are usually a hundred people trying to get onto the bridge that can hold about 15 photographers comfortably, so I shot this in the morning.

the detail in this image is pretty incredible. All those layers is pretty remarkable and I'm amazed at the excellent focus throughout the image. The fall colors on the deciduous trees and additional color pop. The riverbend draws your eye to the back of the image. Well done!! Posted: 04/13/2025 18:23:21
