About the Image(s)
Chinaman’s Hat - this image taken along the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii - for whatever reason I lost all the metadata from this image. However, I know I shot this with a Canon 1DX a Canon 24-70mm lens and it was hand held. Beyond that, I recall it was a beautiful day but the morning light was long gone and I was looking for a subject and a composition that would work in late morning light.

I have a few images like that, taken a while ago, and based on year, have some clue as to camera and lens but metadata is long gone. I really like the movement in this image! The palm trees blowing and chop in the water tell me most likely a breezy day and it leads me into the thoughtful background. I would love to know more about the Chinaman"s hat.....just because I find it an interesting "rock" and Im sure has a fair amount of history.
I like the placement of all the background items in the water, given you probably worked to get as many partially visible. Nice image   Posted: 03/22/2025 19:02:20

This image has a good story Butch. A coastal scene with a healthy wind blowing, both at ground/sea level and also up in the clouds. Good colours and composition. Very well done.   Posted: 03/24/2025 23:31:21
