About the Image(s)
At the beginning of December two friends and I drove to the town of Lithgow to have some photographic fun. This image was taken from a lookout known as Hassans Walls, is the result of a four image stitch. The resultant final image has a field of view of about 150 degrees. Details are: Nikon D810; 24mm lens held in portrait format; ISO 80; F11, 1/125 and hand held. Processed in LR & PS.

Excellent panorama Ian, but what do you want my eye to look at? Also, due to the background it's difficult to find the horizon line, but the image does appear canted to the left a touch. In my VF I eliminated much of the bright sky to bring the viewer's attention to the Hassan Walls and straightened the horizon line a touch   Posted: 02/09/2025 18:25:54
Very nice work Ian. I liked the wall in the foreground and the V shape that leads into the valley, great to direct my eye into the valley area. The detail in the wall is excellent and provides a strong foreground for the image. I might suggest either cropping in from the right or adding some light and contrast to the farther wall on the right side. It took me a few moments before my eye reached that area, so something to pull my eye over might be beneficial. It took work and planning to get 4 images into the panorama, so congratulations on the result. I would agree that the sky could be cropped a bit to keep more focus on the wall and the valley, with the bottom 1/3 of the sky adding some interest.   Posted: 02/17/2025 19:59:05
