I just came back from a photography trip to Morocco with my local camera club. This is sunset time in the Sahara Desert. There was a heavy rain a week or so before we arrived and so created this small lake. We were waiting for our camel ride and I noticed the reflection of the camels in the water and snapped a few shots. I didn't do much in terms of post-processing, just some saturation.

It's a beautiful shot. I would reduce the highlight of sky or even add clouds to set focus on the central image. Good work! Posted: 05/09/2025 23:35:37
Thank you for your comment. I darkened the sky and the water a bit, and it does look better, less stark. I thought about replace sky with some clouds, but that will involve adding cloud reflections in the water too, and I don't know how to do that yet. Hi Spring,
In summary I believe this is great image that is well balanced with wonderful light and reflections. I suggested trying to clone out the people but I agree with you it would change anything. You mentioned regarding the idea this would would like a staged image. I am not sure if this would be the case, but in this session this would not a big deal. Changing the sky on other hand to me would make this image "fake". Just my 2 cents thought.
