About the Image(s)

You wake up at 3:30 AM to catch a flight at 6 AM. As soon as the plane takes off (surprisingly on time), you start falling asleep. Then, few minutes after taking off, your sleepy eyes look outside and see the Alps emerging from the low clouds. It’s a beautiful sight, you think, but suddenly it gets even better. The sun appears and illuminates Mont Blanc. I picked up my phone, but then I realize that you had your camera bag under the seat and this moment was too spectacular for just a phone camera. In the end, you realize that waking up so early allowed you to witness the beauty of the world and now, you can go back to sleep in your seat, happier.

Because the image was taken through a window of an airplane, I had to work with post processing a little bit more of usual. I used a little more of dehaze, contrast and details. As usual I am posting the original one so you can have an idea from where I started.

Michele, this is an amazing image especially taken through a jet window. I looked for reflections and distortions and there are none. Your editing really brought out the surrounding jagged mountains and terrain. Michele you are also an excellent writer. I always enjoy your composition about your image. Beautiful image.   Posted: 04/02/2025 15:30:05
