About the Image(s)
I captured this image of a churro ewe at a Spanish Colonial living ranch museum near Santa Fe, NM. Churro sheep were introduced by the Spanish and quickly adopted by the Navajos for their excellent wool and food source. This ewe was in a sheltered area with a nice, warm light that created her golden glow. Shot with a Canon 7D using a 70-300 lens. I had to shoot through a net fence, so it was a little difficult to do. Anyway, I processed it with some minor adjustments in Lightroom.

Mike, this Charro Ewe really has personality. The most important feature is the eyes and they are tack sharp. Very nice earth tone golden glow of the ewe and background and the crop is perfect.   Posted: 11/01/2024 23:19:49

Mike, this is very nice animal portrait. I agree with Tom, the eyes are what it makes the image. Well done.
