About the Image(s)
Don’t know if this is a great pic but it does show a mound spring in the outback of Aust. These springs pop up through the out back and supply water for cattle. They are unique in that the salt in the water crystallises depositing a salt layer around the rim of the water hole. As this process takes place the outlet rises above the ground and the spring ends up some meters above the surface from which it comes. The water comes from underground some thousands of miles away in the Blue Mountains. The Great Artesian Basin of Australia is the largest and deepest artesian basin in the world, extending over 1,700,000 square kilometres. Measured water temperatures range from 30 to 100 ?C. The basin provides the only source of fresh water through much of inland Australia. The basin underlies 22% of the Australian continent,

Can almost qualify for an abstract image without the explanation. Thanks for sharing.
