The shot was taken in late August on the southern part of Oregon's Pacific coast, not far from the California line. The equipment was a Nikon Z50 with a Nikkor 14-30mm f-4 S lens, at the short zoom end. Manual mode, hand held at 1/250 sec, f-11, ISO 200. All processing in Adobe Camera Raw (includes optical corrections, modest sharpening, color balance correction, and swizzling highlights, shadows, mid-range, contrast, etc.).

Jerry, you have a very interesting photo here. The position/orientation of the wood drawn me to the picture. However, when I look more closely, I see many simultaneous "stories/layers" in the same picture. The rocks in the distance, the mist/fog created layers and distance of the rocks in the background. The footprints and path on the right side of the image leads up to a path toward the mountains. I found this picture very intriguing; thank you for sharing!   Posted: 11/01/2025 06:53:15
